If this isn't love, what is?

There's more to life.

YOU KNOW WHAT WE NEED IN SCHOOLS TODAY?

MARRIAGE CLASSES. RELATIONSHIP CLASSES. SO THAT AT LEAST IF WE DON’T GET OUR STUDIES RIGHT, THERE’S STILL HOPE FOR THE WORLD.What with all the divorces and abortions happening in our world today. We need to learn proper stuff too. Like how not to jump into something without thinking. How to think before we act. How to hold fast to our values.

Like how in a class you’re paired up with a person of the opposite gender and have to do stuff like take care of a baby rabbit. Or hamster. Or cat. Or talk about issues related to marriage and relationships. We need to learn this kind of stuff. Because if we don’t, we’ll end up like how we are now. Too many singles, marriages breaking up because one party is cheating on the other, too focused on climbing to the top of the career ladder and not settling down because “making big bucks is the most important thing to do” and family? What’s family? Some people work so hard they don’t even know what it is anymore.

We need to learn how to care for others, how to appreciate different cultures, different religions, different languages, different forms of art. These things we take with us out of school and make society peaceful. Studying subjects that are purely for knowledge and a window to the world out there. Don’t grade subjects like that because it totally takes the fun out of learning to the weaker ones.

What is important in this day and age?

Studies are a priority, yes.

But whatever happened to learning how to survive out there?

And i’m not talking job-wise. But how to create relationships, how to interact, how to meet new people, how to select groceries, how to cook (more than just home econ!), how to fix things in the house, how to connect cables gosh. Basic things that we’ll definitely need in the future. Maybe you say parents are supposed to teach us that, but how many of our parents are working and don’t get back till late? Or even better. We have other people to do our dirty work for us. Don’t you think life is a little more than going out to make money?

Because ultimately, at the end of the day,

Studies ain’t all that.

And pardon my little rant, but this issue is very close to my heart.

And please, feel free to tell me what you think. Agree, disagree, whatever. But I can’t be the only one that feels this way, right?

And it goes on and on and on.
faithyyy :]
