Safe in Your arms

I look around me and realise
Life's not easy for them too.

I start dreaming.
A perfect world - what would that be like?

Lies? Gone.
Hurt? Gone.
Sadness? Gone.

Tick all my pain one by one off my list.
What's left?

Hope? Yes.
Love? Yes.
Joy? Yes.

Well basically,
everything i've ever dreamed of?

Yes.

A pure, sinless world.
Where there is no evil challenging good.

Hah. I can keep dreaming, can't I?

At least, I am assured.
I am assured that in You, I can soar on eagles' wings.
In You, I'm never sad. You protect me. You comfort me.

I give thanks
For You are my shelter, my comforter,
Always omnipresent. Always right here with me.

And You have promised that You will never leave me nor forsake me.
I pray that you will help me never to leave You.

I stop dreaming.
Life's still the same. I still have hurt, still feel pain.
But now?

I have You.

After all, what more do I need?
